Swansea coach Alan Curtis admitted his side were deserved winners against Arsenal after their 2-1 victory at the Emirates. Curtis took charge of the team in the absence of head coach Francesco Guidolin, who missed the game on Wednesday night through illness.Swansea fell behind through Joel Campbells 15th-minute strike, but fought back to win with goals from Wayne Routledge and Ashley Williams. Its a place weve come to the last couple of years and done well, Curtis told Sky Sports. We knew it was going to be tough but I thought we acquitted ourselves really well.We rode our luck at times with Arsenal hitting the woodwork, but I thought we showed a lot of character, resilience and we passed the ball around a lot better. And when the chances came, we took them.Swansea made six changes from their defeat at Tottenham on Sunday, with Alan Curtis admitting they already had one eye on their key clash with Norwich this weekend. Ashley Williams provided a welcome boost for the hospital-bound Francesco Guidolin, with the Swansea captain scoring the winning goal against Arsenal Saturday is a massive game for us, but we are in a run of form which isnt too bad. No ones position is safe in the team and the changes showed we had one eye on the game [against Norwich].We changed the shape of the team [after going behind] and pushed on a little bit. It seemed to have the desired effect, but I would say we deserved it.Curtis also confirmed he had heard from Guidolin after the game, who was incredibly happy with the result. He left a voicemail straight after the game to say how delighted he was, said Curtis. Im sure it will be a huge pick up for him after a difficult couple of days for him.Match-winner Williams reiterated how proud he was of his his team-mates, as well as wishing his hospital-bound boss Guidolin a speedy recover. Phil Thompson says the north London derby is win or bust for Arsenal after their shocking and appalling performance in the defeat to Swansea Its really nice and everyones happy, Williams told Sky Sports. Im so proud of the boys, the way we played and Im happy for the gaffter whos in hospital at the moment and hes over the moon.Hes not well at the moment and we wish him all the best and hope hes back soon. We all enjoy playing for him and we wish him a speedy recovery. While Williams was delighted with victory, he insisted his side would not get carried away with Norwich to come on Saturday. There were a lot of people who didnt think we could get anything from here, so I think the important game now is Saturday, Williams added. We have to back the win up with another or it counts for nothing really. Were taking it one game at a time but its nice to prove to ourselves more than anything that we can go and play anywhere against any team and pick up points. Sydney FC coach Graham Arnold has declined to confirm marquees Bobo and Filip Holosko will play FFA Cup final conquerors Melbourne City, instead appearing to issue the pair a challenge to lift their game. Both were conspicuous absentees from the Sky Blues starting line-up that beat Newcastle 2-0 in their A-League clash on Sunday, with Bobo introduced off the bench for 20 minutes and Holosko not in the match-day squad at all.The Slovak winger and Brazilian striker have recently struggled to emulate their scintillating early-season form. They were mostly ineffective in Wednesdays FFA Cup final loss to City and the A-League draw against Adelaide the previous weekend.Arnold said Holosko had been suffering knee tightness in recent weeks and saw the Jets match as an opportune time to freshen him up.Yet the coach stopped short of saying he and Bobo would take part in the one-versus-two clash at ANZ Stadium on Friday night.Ill decide that on Thursday, Arnold said. What I want is performance, and for me the scales of whether you play or not is (based) on performance.Whoever performs and plays well, plays.Weve got plenty good players - Brosque played at No.9 (against NNewcastle), (David) Carney can play left or right, (Milos) Ninkovic can play anywhere in the front line nearly, and now Bernie (Ibini).ddddddddddddo Filip and Bobo are just like normal players - perform and they play.Arnold made a season-high four changes to his starting XI, starting Carney and youngster George Blackwood up front alongside skipper Alex Brosque, and replacing Brandon ONeill and Matt Jurman with Milos Dimitrijevic and Seb Ryall.Superb second-half goals from star Serbian Milos Ninkovic and returning winger Bernie Ibini made up for a tedious first half and ensured unbeaten Sydney are six points clear at the top of the table one-third of the way through their campaign.Yet the squad still lacked the cutting edge in front of goal thats been missing since round six, an ingredient they will sorely need against a stacked City attack that got the better of them at AAMI Park. The most important thing for me is to recover and get the boys fresh again, Arnold said.Theyve had three games in a week including two lots of travel.
