TORONTO - The road to the Rio Olympics for womens basketball teams in the Americas will go through Edmonton. Albertas capital will host the 2015 FIBA Americas Championship for Women. The tournament will determine who qualifies directly to the 2016 Olympic Games in Rio de Janeiro. The championship will take place Aug. 9-16, 2015, with 10 teams from the Americas zone competing in the eight-day tournament.
