d defensive tackle Willie Henry on injured reserve White Mark Ingram Jersey , ending his season. Guard Jermaine Eluemunor has been promoted from the practice squad to the 53-man roster.Henry emerged last season as possibly the team’s best interior pass rusher. He was pegged by many as a breakout candidate entering 2018. Unfortunately, Henry required surgery on a Hernia, causing him to miss the first four weeks of the season. After three games back, his third season is now over. Henry had three tackles and a sack in those three games. Baltimore’s top ranked defense will certainly miss Henry’s presence in the middle, but they have the depth to handle his loss. Second-year player Chris Wormley has really upped his game this year and Michael Pierce, Brent Urban and Brandon Williams are as stout as ever up front. It is an unfortunate end to a promising season for Henry, however.Update: It is now being reported that Henry suffered a back injury against the New Orleans Saints last week Mark Ingram Jersey 2019 , leading to him being placed on injured reserve. To fill Henry’s spot on the roster, the Ravens promoted second-year guard Jermaine Eluemunor from the practice squad. Eluemunor, drafted in the fifth round of the 2017 NFL Draft, started two games for Baltimore in his rookie season. Eluemunor initially made the final roster this season before being cut and signed to the practice squad after two games. This was a necessary move considering the multitude of injuries the Ravens offensive line is dealing with currently. Guard Alex Lewis suffered a pinched nerve in Week 6 and is out for the foreseeable future. Tackle/guard James Hurst missed last week’s game with a back injury and guard/center Bradley Bozeman fought through a calf injury against New Orleans. If none of the above mentioned players are able to suit up on Sunday against the Carolina Panthers, then either Eluemunor or Hroniss Grassu, who relieved Bozeman on several plays last week, will start at left guard.Patriots sign DB Cyrus Jones from Ravens’ practice squad The New England Patriots have signed defensive back and return specialist Cyrus Jones from Baltimore’s practice squad Ben Powers Baltimore Ravens Jersey , per Jeff Howe. Jones was one of the more intriguing practice squad signings for the Ravens. He was a Baltimore native, and many believed that he could eventually overtake Janarion Grant for the return job. However, he now returns to where his NFL career began. After being selected in the second round of the 2016 NFL Draft, Jones was cemented as a reserve defensive back and returner. He struggled to be a reliable returner. Jones made questionable decisions with New England, while also fumbling the ball five times. Jones is returning from a torn ACL he suffered during the preseason last year that forced him to miss the entire season. He now returns to New England as the team’s primary returner until Julian Edelman returns from his suspension. As a result of this signing, the Ravens had one open spot on their practice squad. With their depth in the secondary lacking due to Jimmy Smith’s suspension and Maurice Canady’s injury, Baltimore added another defensive back. They signed Makinton Dorleant Ben Powers Baltimore Ravens Jersey , who stands at 5-foot-11 and 182 pounds. He played college football at the University of Maryland for one season before transferring to the University of Northern Iowa. Dorleant went undrafted in the 2016 NFL Draft and eventually signed with the Green Bay Packers. He played four games for Green Bay but was released in April of 2017. He returned to the NFL in 2018 with the Kansas City Chiefs. However, he was released during roster cuts.Dorleant rounds out Baltimore’s practice squad, and with Kai Nacua recently joining as well, it is unlikely he will be promoted this season.
